WB SUPER LEAGUE 神奈川VANGUARDSホームゲームで救護活動を行いました
2025年1月5日（日）小田原アリーナ（神奈川県）にて行われた車いすバスケットボールの大会である「WB SUPER LEAGUE 神奈川VANGUARDSホームゲーム」にてALL SPORTS NURSEの看護師が救護活動を行いました。
車いすバスケットボールとは
1891年にアメリカで誕生したバスケットボールは、最高峰のリーグであるNBAに代表されるように、今や深い歴史と世界中で広く知られるスポーツです。
一方で車いすスポーツのジャンルは、多くの身体障がい者が発生した第二次世界大戦後に、アメリカとイギリスで生まれました。
そうした背景の中、アメリカでは1949年に全米車いすバスケットボール協会が設立され、イギリスでは1946年に脊髄損傷者の治療法としてネットボール（バスケットボールの原型）が導入されました。
そして1950年代後半にこれらの流れが合わさり、競技スポーツとして車いすバスケットボールが世界中で普及してきています。
そのルールも車いすバスケットボール特有のものとなっており、一際特徴的なものとして「クラス分け」があります。
車いすバスケットボールの選手には、各々障がいレベルの重い者の順から1.0-4.5点の持ち点が定められています。障がいレベルがもっとも重い者は1.0点、最も軽い者は1.0と振り分けされ、試合中コート上にいる5人の選手の合計が、14.0点以内にする必要があります。
このルールにより、障がいの重い選手から軽い選手まで等しく出場機会を得ることができるのです。

Medical Support Provided at the WB SUPER LEAGUE Kanagawa Vanguards Home Game
On Sunday, January 5, 2025, at the Odawara Arena (Kanagawa Prefecture), nurses from ALL SPORTS NURSE provided medical support during the “WB SUPER LEAGUE Kanagawa Vanguards Home Game,” a wheelchair basketball tournament.
What Is Wheelchair Basketball?
Basketball was invented in 1891 in the United States. Today, as represented by the NBA, it has a long history and is widely known all around the world.
Wheelchair sports, on the other hand, emerged in the U.S. and the U.K. after World War II, when a large number of people with physical disabilities began participating in sports.
Against this backdrop, the National Wheelchair Basketball Association was established in the United States in 1949. In the U.K., netball (the predecessor of basketball) was introduced as a form of treatment for people with spinal cord injuries in 1946.
By the late 1950s, these developments converged, leading to the spread of wheelchair basketball worldwide as a competitive sport.
Wheelchair basketball has rules unique to the sport, one notable example being the “classification system.”
Players in wheelchair basketball are assigned a point value from 1.0 to 4.5, in accordance with the severity of their disability. Those with the most severe disability are rated 1.0, while those with the least severe disability are rated 4.5. During a game, the sum of the point values of the five players on the court must not exceed 14.0 points.
This rule ensures that players with different levels of disability all have the opportunity to participate in the game.
